Speaking at a press conference in AP Film Chamber, Dasari Narayanarao once again quipped that Telugu films are far away from getting awards. ‘Only recording dances are parts of our latest movies, not screenplay and story’, Dasari said. ‘With those spine less films we cannot run for awards’, he adds. Indirectly he lashed out at Megastar Chiru that Tollywood is living by praising someone who has got a Padma Bushan or Padma Vibhushan, which is not at all a good move.Film Nagar folks are saying that rather giving all these ideas why couldn’t Dasari make an award winning movie to open the eyes of all. ‘He has predicted a national award for a terrible movie directed by him, ‘Parama Veera Chakra’. It’s funny that he’s now talking about awards. Why did he shot recording-dances in that movie then, that too with three heroines’, questions a critic.
Whenever National-Awards are announced, it is common for our veterans to take pot-shots on present trends, but none has stamina to guide Tollywood to awards is the bottom line. Are films are films only if they get awards or should they entertain people first? What do you say guys?
