A complaint was received on 10-4-2012, that about 1600 hrs some one has put ¼ KG of Beef in Pochamma Temple situated at S.P. Nagar in Nanda Muslai Guda. Consequently, a FIR was registered vide Cr.No.83/2012 U/s 153 (A), 295 IPC of PS Bahadurpura and investigation was taken up. In the process of investigation, one G. Shiva Kumar was arrested on 14-04-2012. With a feeling of insecurity and with a intension to bring a police picket in his locality, Shiva Kumar @ Rakesh Tej purchased beef from local shop and planted it on the temple at 1545 hrs on 10-04-2012 and spread rumours that some one has put beef in Pochamma Temple and created tension in the locality. He has been remanded to judicial custody.
These do not look to be organized incidents. Isolated incidents guided by local issues, perverted mind set people are trying to create mischief in a surcharged atmosphere. There is lead available in other cases also. We are pursuing the leads. Police will make all efforts to nab the correct accused.
