These are the days of social media networking and the presence has become so strong that even the most powerful and famous also use them. Notable among them are three entities. They are Facebook, Twitter and Youtube. However, it is now heard that they are posing as danger bells to many.

Recently a motion study analysis has been conducted across few noted software companies. It is heard that during office hours, these three are eating away time and no one is working. As a result, many companies have begun to block the three networks. However that is not stopping the users.

They are using their smartphone devices and I-phones and getting connected. So the companies have gone a step ahead and even they are not being used. The managements have revealed that the average work output is getting affected in an alarming way.

The motion study is conducted to check as to in a span of eight hours, what is the quality output of an employee. If he is delivering only 1 hour then what is the use? Nominal wastage is okay but not so much. So now, strict measures are being taken by companies to put a check on these three.

Image Description hereBeing a superstar is not just about acting well and scoring hits at the box office. It is also about carrying yourself in the right way off the screen too. That is because superstars are role models to many in the society and their actions tend to set an example for others.

However, it appears that Ram Charan is one lad who is yet to learn that properly. Time and again, Charan has been flayed for his impulsive statements, especially in Twitter. Yet again, he came up with a statement which raised eyebrows. Well, Charan mentioned about how the government has shown spine by arresting Jagan.

As such, it is his father who is in politics and he must be the right person to make a statement not Charan. Right from the distributors to producers along with film fraternity, they are not too happy with Charan’s tweet. On the other hand, Junior NTR came to address the media during NTR Jayanthi. He maintained his poise and didn’t make a single comment. When what should be spoken is something Charan should learn from his good friend NTR.

Heroines and skin show go hand in hand but when it came to the Malayalam girl Asin, she had a strong set of reservations. That was one reason why the south circuit never got to see her sexy side. But all her reservations and strictness crumbled when she stepped into Bollywood.

Today, there is hardly a time when Asin is not seen in short skirts exposing her legs. As if that is not enough, here is an interesting byte. Reports from Mumbai reveal that recently Asin tried her level best to grab the eyeballs of the onlookers by giving the best view of her cleavage.

All this happened at the birthday bash of the noted filmmaker Karan Johar. Buzz is that Asin was seen sporting a bare shouldered cocktail gown and the deep valley of her cleavage was quite prominent. As such, Asin has a buxom Malayalam figure so her voluptuous cleavage was a sight to relish. Let us wait to see if this will result in any juicy projects for her or not.

Image Description hereBalayya gave a statement that one who commits crime deserves jail. He said this while commenting on Jagan's arrest.
Listening to this a Jagan sympathizer said, "Why Balayya is not in jail? He dug bullets in Bellamkonda and Satyanarayana Chowdary's body but safely sat at NIMS with the blessings of YSR. Later, a security guard was killed in Balayya's house suspiciously that was over looked. Balayya touched the feet of YSR along with Chandrababu and now giving a statement like a lion talking about vegetarianism".
Indeed, film actors Ram Charan and Balayya are not using brains before they speak, is the talk everywhere.

"If Sallu bhai watches Pawan Kalyan in Gabbar Singh, he might be tempted to remake this movie!" a line from tollywoodteasers review of Gabbar Singh read.  It turns out that Salman Khan is really tempted to draw uponPawan Kalyan's acting template.  That is the reason why he has reportedly paid Bandla Ganesh some big moolah before he could lift particular scenes from the film.  These will be incorporated at the right places in the sequel to Dabanng.
It will be interesting to see Salman reprise Pawan in the scenes like the Antyakshari.  Whether or not he will follow his own style, the arrogance and deportment may be maintained intact by him.
Meanwhile, Gabbar Singh is breaking all the records.  It is difficult to get a ticket in main centres.

In a special chat with the media, director Boyapati Sreenu has said that he is very happy and satisfied with Dammu's success.  The film, he says, has been attracting family audiences in large numbers.  He used the opportunity to reaffirm his style of film making.  Saying that Dammu is not a violent film, he explains the rationale behind not killing Nassar in the end.
Excerpts:
"The reason why I have called for a meet with media is to tell them that Dammu is still running high in its 5th week.  NTR's fans and family audiences alike have made this a big hit.  The footfalls have been undwindled.  Despite the IPL and some new releases, our film has not been affected.  There was a quality piracy copy out in the very first week.  But, even piracy has not been able to create a dent in the BO run.  In these times of piracy when whole villages watch a film on pirated copies, we should forget about 100 days.  The number of theatres in which a big film is released determines how soon we recoup the budget.

"For any film, the initial push is given by the fans in the first two weeks.  Then, it is the family audiences who should watch our film.

"If you ask me, it requires concerted efforts on the part of the film industry to stem the scourge of piracy.  We make pleas on stags, but that's all.  Only Shyam Prasad Reddy garu could stop piracy for two weeks (Arundhati).  It is true that we could spend a part of the budget, say Rs. 0.50-1.0 cr. on curbing piracy but to sustain the momentum, we require focussed action.

"NTR's fans have complained to me that there is not enough violence in Dammu.  In their opinion, the hero should have killed Nassar (villain) in the end.  However, I felt that the hero's purpose was to end war, not eliminate the enemy.  His agenda was to end enmity.  There is no truth in the opinion held by some that Dammu is a violent movie.  It is an intense, action flick.  I will never make a violent movie.  For me, a scene is borne out of the story.  I made NTR's character run away from the situation (before the interval) just to establish his character.  Only in the second half does he realize the gravity of the situation and that's when he wields the sword.  That's how much I was true to my story.  I never commit the folly of forcing something down the script's throat.  If people are still watching Badra and Simha on television, it is because they don't see unwelcome violence in it.

"The reason why the family audience have liked the film is because of the story.  The maturity levels shown by NTR, the connect he establishes with the sisters, the mother, all worked in the film's favour.  I was helped by the producers (KS Rama Rao and Alexander Vallabha), who never compromised anywhere.

"Dammu has by far been the highest grosser in NTR's career.  We are very happy with the way the film has been received across the State.  NTR's look has been especially liked by one and all.  We worked on the look for one whole day at NTR's residence.   I wanted a look that portrayed both power and royalty.

"I will definitely make films in different genres.  I think I can make good love stories that will connect to the family audience.  I will do it in the coming years.

"I will talk about my next film after 10 days.  I am working on the script."

Image Description hereIt's been 10 years since makeup effects guru Rick Baker and director Barry Sonnenfeld worked on their last "Men in Black" film together -- and apparently, to Sonnenfeld, the 10 years it took to get to the release of "Men in Black III" seemed like an eternity.
"Barry actually emailed me when the film was first starting up and said, 'I know that you're retired, but I can't imagine doing a "Men in Black" movie without you. You've got to come out of retirement and do this.' Then I said, 'Well, first of all, I'm not retired, and secondly, you don't have to beg me to do a "Men in Black" film. I love doing these,'" Baker recalled for me with a laugh in an interview Thursday. "Barry considers me a collaborator and wants my ideas and input, so that was really nice."
Opening in 2D and 3D theaters nationwide on Friday, "Men in Black 3" opens with alien villain Boris (Jemaine Clement) traveling back in time in 1969 to assassinate the young version of Agent K (Josh Brolin) to drastically alter the course of history. With the modern-day world suddenly in peril, Agent J (Will Smith) travels back in time, too -- but a day earlier than Boris -- to save his colleague and dear friend.
There's no question "Men in Black" is near and dear to Baker's heart. One of most heralded makeup effects artists in the business, Baker has been nominated for 12 Oscars in the last 30 years and won seven -- including one for the first "Men in Black."
The "Men in Black" trilogy is made up of three films that have been spread out over a 15-year time frame. A sci-fi action comedy about a pair of alien-busting secret government agents -- Agent J and Agent K -- the first film came out in 1997, followed by its first sequel five years later.
Of course, in the 10 years after "Men in Black II," computer-generated imagery has grown by leaps and bounds. To some makeup effects artists, CGI has posed a threat to their livelihoods, but Baker knew he was in good company on "Men in Black III" because the visual effects supervisor was Ken Ralston, a legend in the business whose work dates back to the first "Star Wars" film.
"I was happy knowing Ken was in charge of the visual effects. I've known Ken since I was 17 years old," Baker said. "We were both crazy monster fans when were kids and Ray Harryhausen fans, so I knew that it wasn't going to be a situation where it was the CG guys being pitted against the rubber guys. I knew that we would be able to work together, and the filmmakers would be able to use both of us to their best advantage."
For Baker, the big change for "Men in Black III" was not only re-establishing the continuity of the alien beings to match the tone of the first two films, but to create a different set of aliens to compliment the film's vital time-travel plot. As a fan of monster and alien invasion films as a kid, it gave Baker the perfect opportunity to give the creatures a much-desired retro spin.
"It was my idea to do that. I said them, 'When we go to 1969, we have to do retro aliens. They have to look really different from the 2012 aliens. They have to be big-brained, bug-eyed aliens, and there had to be guys with fishbowl space helmets and ray guns.' I was really excited when they went for it," enthused Baker, 61. "It was great to pay homage to films like 'Invasion of the Saucer Men' and so many films I grew up with and loved."
This year marks Baker's 40th anniversary in the business as a makeup artist, and even with all of his success -- much of it groundbreaking, starting with becoming the first-ever recipient of Best Makeup Oscar in 1982, in recognition of his work in "An American Werewolf in London" -- you'd swear talking with him that he just completed his first gig.
The main thing, he said, is that doing makeup effects, despite any ups and downs or stops and starts, is and has always been fun -- the key to success in any profession.
"The actual making of the stuff is fun, but movie-making is hard," Baker said, laughing. "The hours are ridiculously long, and there are so many people in the mix that can slow things down. But the actual time I'm pushing clay around or whatever, I'll stop to think, 'I can't believe I'm doing this for a living.' It began as a hobby, and now people pay me to do it. I still can't believe it."

Image Description herePaul "Punisher" Williams turns age 31 on July 27.
Unfortunately, doctors in Atlanta make it sound as though the former world middleweight champion will spend it and all successive birthdays confined to a wheelchair.
Boxing got hit with a double whammy on Sunday as news came out of Albuquerque that fearsome brawler and five-time world champion Johnny "La Vida Loca" Tapia's crazy life had ended at age 45. Then came the awful revelation that Williams, 41-2 as a pro, was paralyzed from the waist down after a horrific motorcycle wreck near Atlanta where the fighter had gone to attend a brother's wedding.
The only good news in the fight world this weekend was the ring revival of England's popular Carl Froch, who knocded out previously unbeaten Lucian Bute in Froch's ohometown of Nottingham. They're saying that Bute-Froch attracted a record number of eyeballs to the UK telecast over Sky Sports.
Legendary matchmaker Johnny "Wizard Of" Bos only knew the recovering drug addict Tapia by reputation but he was close to Williams and the boxer's manager-trainer, ex-Washington, D.C., cop George Peterson.
(Note: Peterson just informed Rick Reeno, BoxingScene, that there is "no chance" that Williams will ever walk again.)
"It's just terrible what happened to Paul, he is such a good kid and always was. I've known him from his amateur days. You see how loyal he has been to George, he has been with George all the way from the amateurs to the world title and then to his comeback after getting blasted by Martinez.
"Paul is the kind of a guy who, if he sees you on the other side of an arena, he will walk over to say hello to you," Bos said. "I guess we'll just have to hope for the best possible recovery. I just let matchmaker Harry Barnett, also close to the Williams camp, know. Harry is driving now from Fort Lauderdale back to Atlanta to see George and Paul. This really shook Harry up.
Personally, I can't say that I knew Tapia well, either. But, despite of or maybe because of all his personal tragedies (including drug overdoses, the murder of his father and the rape/murder of his mother when he was a boy, etc.) the few times I saw the New Mexico boxer you couldn't help but notice how fan friendly he was.
Tapia's demons were many and many are surprised he stayed alive to 45. But, another thing you have to say about Tapia is that lived his life the way he fought, fiercely. The never say quit demeanor he always showed inside the ropes truly resonated with fight fans. (Condolences to Johnny's wife and manager, Teresa.)
Unlike Tapia, Williams lives on but he will never fight again and so will never get a chance to erase that blistering two round KO by Sergio Martinez. Williams had a mouth-watering matchup against Mexico's whiz kid, Canelo Alvarez, set for Sept. 15.)
But that's a trivial matter because what's important now is the quality of PWill's life, not his chosen profession.
Taps for Tapia, prayers for the elongated Williams and an attaboy for Frochie.
Froch's resurgence is the only sliver of sunlight in a stormy weekend.

Image Description hereZap2it: Are you still playing in a band?

Kevin Costner: We have had this band about five years. We like to play. I haven't played since we started this. I've taken the guitar to set but haven't played. I am the worst player in the band. The others play all day. I use the guitar to write with. Two of these guys were in the first band I was ever in.

Zap2it: Did you grow up playing instruments?

Kevin Costner: I played classical piano when younger, and six years ago my wife said, "Why don't you play? You are happiest onstage."

Zap2it: What music do you listen to?

Kevin Costner: Almost anybody. Music is so mood-oriented. Sometimes you just come bopping into some old Motown song. Music is all over the board for me. A lot of my formative years were in Ventura [Calif.]. "Where Do We Go From Here?" In 1969, I was 13. I had a brother in Vietnam, and I was trying to kiss a girl. We had a walk on the moon and Bob Dylan songs, and I watched a generation headed north to San Francisco, 30 to 40 kids hitchhiking up from Ventura.

Zap2it: The trials your "Hatfields & McCoys" character, Devil Anse Hatfield, endures, do you think those are relatable?

Kevin Costner: It's no different people fighting over a pig [as the Hatfields and McCoys did] or a view in Malibu. We've been in a lawsuit because I didn't want a right of way (anything blocking his view). Life is all about whose pig it is.

Image Description hereFrom 2013, aspiring candidates for IITs and other central institutes like NITs and IIITs will have to sit under new a format of entrance test which will also take plus two board results into consideration. All existing entrance exams to these institutes will be replaced with a new common entrance exam to be conducted in two parts — JEE Main and JEE advanced. Announcing this here on Monday, Union Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal said a consensus was reached after deliberations spanning over two years. A meeting of the Joint Councils of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), the Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other Central educational institutions approved the common admission process with weightage to performance in the Class XII Board examinations. The Senate and faculty of the IITs had resisted the plan, citing the standards of the institutions. But the problem was resolved, with the IITs having been allowed to maintain a separate merit list. However, this will be reviewed after 2015, when the IITs will also join the common merit list. To be conducted by the IITs' Joint Admission Board (JAB), the test will be held in two parts on the same day — JEE main and JEE advanced.
The IITs will first screen students on the basis of a merit prepared by granting weightage to them in the ratio of 50 pc for Class XII exam marks and 50 pc for marks obtained in the “main” component of the test. The top 50,000 scorers on the merit list will be eligible for admission to the IITs and their “advanced” component papers alone will be evaluated by the IITs to prepare a final merit list for admissions. This merit list won’t have any place for school exam marks. Haryana, Gujarat and Maharashtra have agreed to join the new format instead of having separate exams for state engineering colleges. IITs will design both the main and the advanced components of the common engineering test and will join other institutes on a common format by 2015. Both tests, main and advanced, will be MCQ type and will be held the same day as against the wishes of IIT Senates that wanted the IIT advanced test to be subjective and to be held on a different day than the common engineering test. Sibal, however, declined this suggestion of the IITs. “Our first priority was to reduce stress of exams on students and the next was to restore the importance of Class XII, which students don’t seem to take seriously,” Sibal noted.

The 82-year-old has long been reluctant to discuss the 1969 mission that enthralled the world, and has granted only a handful of interviews since.

But the Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) of Australia convinced him to film an hour-long one-on-one in which he talks about the landing and his famous first steps on the moon.

"I thought we had a 90 percent chance of getting back safely to Earth on that flight but only a 50-50 chance of making a landing on that first attempt."

CPA head Alex Malley said he suggested the idea to the space veteran when he was in Australia last year helping the organisation with its 125th anniversary, and he agreed.

"I know something not a lot of people know about Neil Armstrong - his dad was an auditor," Malley told News Limited newspapers.

"The most compelling thing I felt about him was his humility - his commitment to his team, his deference to everyone except himself, his respect for the Russians - I found that quite extraordinary."

Image Description hereHyderabad: With YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy now designated undertrial number 6093 at the Chanchalguda Jail in Hyderabad, his mother and the widow of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YSR Reddy will take off from where her son left campaigning for the June 12 by-elections to 18 assembly seats.

YS Vijayamma is the party's honorary chief; she gave up her fast in protest against her son's arrest yesterday, took over the reins of the party and will begin campaigning tomorrow. Jagan Mohan Reddy was sent to jail by a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court yesterday for 14 days. This means that he will be in jail till June 11, a day before polling is held for the 18 Assembly segments and one Lok Sabha seat and so will not be able to campaign.

Jagan Reddy's mother has also written to the Chief Election Commissioner to direct the CBI to release her son in the larger interest of democracy. She has pointed out in her letter that the CBI arrested Mr Reddy on Sunday, May 27, just 15 days before the by-elections. The YSR Congress contends that this is "part of a larger conspiracy" to keep him from campaigning for the by-elections. The YSR Congress has fielded candidates in all the constituencies that are up for grabs. Mr Reddy was drawing a powerful reaction on his tour of areas like Guntur.

Jagan to stay in jail till June 11, a day before key elections
"I am writing this letter with great hope that you would kindly intervene (in the matter)... CBI has arrested him (Jagan) on May 27, just 15 days before the by-elections... This is part of a larger conspiracy to deprive his participation in the elections with the sole objective of helping the ruling Congress candidates. They have waited for waited for 270-odd days; they can wait for another 15 days, particularly when there is no possibility whatsoever for tampering with evidence," Vijayamma said. (Read Letter)

The by-elections are critical not just for the fledgling YSR Congress - made up largely of Congressmen who joined Jagan Reddy in his rebellious break-up with the party months after his father YSR Reddy's death in a helicopter crash in 2009. They are also important for the ruling Congress and the main Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

Jagan Mohan Reddy's arrest so close to polling day could have a big political impact. It could just deliver the seats to Mr Reddy's party in a sympathy wave that Vijayamma will no doubt attempt to drum up. Or, with Mr Reddy's high-energy campaign blitz now out of the way, could give the two big parties a chance to make gains. (Timeline: Jagan Mohan Reddy's battle for survival)

Political ananlyst K Nageswar, says, "The CBI and ED probe is not going to tell the people anything new. People are not saying that YSR was not corrupt. They say and ask who is not corrupt. So they don't see much difference between the three main political parties on that issue. So that cynicism on corruption will help Jagan.''

The Congress and the Telugu Desam have had reason to be nervous over the last few days, with Jagan claiming that many of their leaders are waiting to jump into his party. As the CBI questioned him over three days before his arrest, Mr Reddy would arrive for interrogation flaunting rebel Congressmen by his side. A TDP leader, Mysoora Reddy, had breakfast with him on Friday last, was thrown out of the TDP and joined the YSR Congress all on the same day.

Before his arrest Mr Reddy had said, "The government may not fall because Chandrababu Naidu won't let that happen but it is true that both within the Congress and the TDP there are many leaders (who want to join us), but I am very picky and choosy.''

The Congress in Andhra Pradesh has been a divided house fighting battles on several fronts, including Telangana. Politically, for a party that has openly given Jagan Reddy's father, YSR, the credit for bringing the Congress to power in Andhra Pradesh and at the Centre, both in 2004 and 2009, a turnaround to paint their star chief minister black after his son emerged as a threat, has not helped.

Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy says the YSR Congress is lying to earn political mileage. And that YSR's son and widow are using his accidental death to gain politically. He accuses them of being ungrateful for what the Congress did to prop up YSR.

"The basic problem is he has to explain the financial irregularities in his firms. He wants to divert attention from that. The pace at which his party is losing ground in the field is very drastic. To cover up, he is creating drama and he is saying the government is not stable, because some MLAs are coming to us. That is not true. The government is stable," the CM said. (Watch: Andhra CM denies misuse of CBI)

YSR Reddy was one of the Congress' most popular leaders in Andhra Pradesh. The case against his son centres on whether as chief minister, YSR misused his office to drive firms to invest in his son's business empire.  YSR died in 2009.  Referring to his popularity, and the victory he delivered for the Congress in the last state elections in 2009, Vijayamma has said, "YS Rajasekhara Reddy (Jagan's father) won 33 Lok Sabha seats for Congress in 2009. Publicly YSR declared he would work to make Rahul Gandhi Prime Minister in 2014. So her (Sonia Gandhi) son should become PM and my son should suffer in jail?"

Mr Reddy was arrested on Sunday evening after three straight days of interrogation. In jail, he is entitled to a fan; his meals can be home-cooked. (Read: Congress reacts with caution to Jagan's arrest)

The court order for his custody came after the CBI's lawyer told the court that Mr Reddy can no longer "masquerade as a victim" and that he had not cooperated during his interrogation over the last three days. The CBI, which has accused the politician of corruption, forgery, breach of trust by a public servant and cheating, had asked to keep him in its custody for 14 days, but the judge sent him to judicial custody for that period instead.

The investigating agency claims that Mr Reddy money-laundered the bribes paid to his business empire by other firms who were favoured by his father, YSR Reddy, when he was chief minister. Opposing Mr Reddy's request for bail, the CBI said that if he is free, Mr Reddy could influence witnesses and tamper with his companies' accounts.

Mr Reddy's arrest has set Andhra Pradesh on edge. He has asked his supporters to stay calm; his party, the YSR Congress, called for a day-long bandh in the state yesterday and a three-day bandh in the East Godavari district. (Read: YSR Congress' statement on Jagan Mohan Reddy's arrest)
