Lending credence to the speculations that the Central Bureau of Investigation is inching towards arresting YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in his alleged illegal assets case, newly-elected Rajya Sabha member and megastar Chiranjeevi has hinted that “anything might happen” on May 28.
As per the summons issued by the CBI special court recently, Jagan will have to appear before the court on May 28 to reply to the charges made by the CBI against him in the charge sheet. There is a talk that he would personally appear before the court though there is a provision in the summons that he might send his lawyer to argue his case on his behalf.
But going by Chiranjeevi’s words, the CBI might arrest Jagan irrespective of whether the latter would appear in the court personally or through lawyer. Perhaps, the megastar might have got the indications from the top leaders of the party including Sonia Gandhi, whom he had met in Delhi in the last couple of days. Since the script is being prepared in Delhi, there might be truth in Chiranjeevi’s words. Who knows?
