The most talked about and much anticipated movie of the season was ‘Dammu’ and it came in with strong hype. However, the real strength of any movie is discovered only during the first weekend of its release. And according to our sources, the final collection report has not been that encouraging.It is heard that as of Saturday the collections dropped. But on Sunday it picked up very well due to the family audience. But on Monday, most of the theatres were empty and the evening shows recorded below average percentage. Now, today is May Day, a labour holiday. Today it will decide the fate because from tomorrow onwards things will be routine.
The cine analysts are stating that ‘Dammu’s maximum to maximum collection would be between Rs 20-25 crores. It can collect upto that much only. With this, the producers are safe but the distributors and third parties are clean bowled. Only a strong positive talk can help revive things.
