The Salman Khan starrer Dabangg set the box office on fire. And now its sequel Dabangg 2 is expected to reload the frenzy.
With Salman reprising the role of Chulbul Pandey and brother Sohail producing the film, it has garnered enough hype even before the shoot has started.
The film will go on floors in March. But, much before its release, the film’s television telecast rights have already been sold to Star network reportedly for a whopping Rs 50 crores.
The channel is happy with the deal as it will help them garner high TRPs. The Star network apparently has the largest library of Salman films. The deal will also help them attract advertisers.
Salman, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar, are the stars whose films have repeat value on TV channels and help in generating revenue.
Well, let’s see if the sequel recreates the Dabangg magic.
