The film was initially made in Malayalam version by director Siddique and was later remade in Tamil, Hindi and now in Telugu versions.
Trisha played the leading lady while Saloni will be seen as her friend. Gopichand Malineni of Don Seenu fame is directing the film, which is produced by Bellamkonda Suresh. It has Taman's music for which Bhaskarabatla Ravikumar and Ramajogayya Sastry will pen the lyrics. Prakash Raj, Venu Madhav, Subbaraju and others are in the cast.
Bodyguard has almost completed its shooting part and the post-production works are simultaneously in progress. Bodyguard music will be launched in early November. This film is likely to release on 2 December.
