It is not just the success but the talent matters a lot to sustain in industry for long time. Rana Daggubati scored average with ‘Leader’ that too due to the direction of talented Sekhar Kammula. Eventually all his films have bitten mud right from Nenu Na Rakshasi to Na Ishtam. The plight is same in Bollywood as well.On the other hand Naga Chaitanya scored hits with Ye Maya Chesave and 100% Love but the credit has completely gone to directors. His eventual films Dada and Bezawada have bitten mud.
Now Naga Chaitanya has a litmus test with ‘Autonagar Surya’ and Rana has ‘Krishnam Vande Jagdgurum’. They have two challenges. One, the film should be successful and two, they have to prove their talent without dropping the hit credit in only director’s account.
Another big challenge is the heroes of Chiranjeevi’s family and Krishna’s family are rocking in industry. The glory of Akkineni and Daggubati families are now on the shoulders of these young heroes.
If they are successful in this feat, ok. Otherwise, they get branded like Kalyan Ram and Taraka Rathna.
