First time in five years, KKR made to the final and defeated the defending champion Chennai Super Kings winner of the last two IPL.

Knight Riders enters final by beating Delhi Daredevils. Chennai Super Kings made to the final after defeating Delhi Daredevils by 86 runs on Friday night.
Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni wins the toss and elected to bat first. CSK set a target of 191 before the KKR and the later played well to reach the target and emerged as a winner.
