7th Sense Movie Review

First half is okay. Second half lacks the commercial grip. 7th Sense is an example for a big-star-cast-huge-budgeted movie that looks wonderful on the paper, but falters in the execution. The concept is innovative, but format/screenplay/arch is not good enough to narrate this story in an arresting fashion.Visit Site for more

This movie appears to be the idea of an A grade director executed by a B-grade director. Generally people expect something more sensible from Murugudoss. But that lacked here.First half is ok but the second half got derailed. Murugudoss made vain attempt to bring grip in narration due to lack of proper research. Even Operation Red idea became silly. The climax is very long with 40 minutes and that itself shows how bad the screenplay is.Bottomline: Beautiful thought, bad execution

7am Arivu (7th Sense) has several things working for it -- its historical background, and a rock-solid villain who uses mind-control, and an intelligent heroine, among other things. You just wish they had utilized all these ingredients better. once the first half-hour is over, the story line grows extremely predictable. Certain moments serve to pull up the sagging screenplay, but these are few and far in between. Moments of realism are pretty rare, and logic has gone for a toss in the second half. The feeling of disappointment is added, as you're led to expect something truly fantastic in the first half.Visit Site for more

Murugadoss’s concept is good and has some variety from run of the mill stuff. He did some research and that can be seen in the film. But he should have gone into further details other than what is available on the internet. First fifteen minutes of the film is interesting and shows promise.Second half has some interesting scenes here and there but they aren’t that strong to leave an impression on the viewers.Murugadoss’s choice of script is good but he failed in the execution part. He just made a film with one vague idea and the shallowness can be felt throughout the film. This is not expected from a director of his standards.Final Word: 7th Sense fails to deliver!
