After being in the news for all the wrong reasons, Naga Chaitanya’s ticket to action flick, Bejawada is finally hitting the headlines for a right reason. The overseas distribution rights of the movie produced by Ram Gopal Varma have been acquired by Nagarjuna’s Annapurna Studios, which has recently tied up with Reliance Media Works.
Sources say that Nagarjuna is planning for the expansion of his distribution business, so, he has acquired the theatrical rights of the forthcoming Telugu film. Though, the exact figure, which he paid for the rights, has not been revealed, the production house source says that Ram Gopal Varma sold it for a reasonable price, as the movie stars Nag’s song Naga Chaitanya.
However, Bejawada is directed by Ram Gopal Varma’s former associate Vivek Krishna. The movie also features Amala Paul in the leads. The story of the film is based on the conflicts between two politicians Devineni Nehru and late legislator Vangaveeti Ranga.
