Balakrishna Eyeing For CM’s Post?

Is the film star Nandamuri Balakrishna nursing the ambition to become the state Chief Minister? Though he is not making his desire obvious in public, he appears to be game for it if such a situation arises in the party in future.
During a meeting with NRIs and well-wishers at London recently, Balakrishna gave an impression that he was preparing for a larger political role in the state.  More importantly, when a section of the crowd raised the slogans describing him as “future CM”, he did not object to it. He merely smiled and waved at them.
The occasion was the Ugadi celebrations organized by the London Telugu Association. Balakrishna made some lofty statements on the occasion. “I have come to politics to eradicate corruption from the society,” he declared. He also deplored that the “moral and ethical values” in the society were declining steadily.
Balakrishna also reiterated that he would contest the Assembly elections in 2014. This is significant because his brother-in-law and TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu had already made it clear that the party would take a decision on how to utilize the services of Balakrishna and other NTR family members.
“I will strive to provide good governance in Andhra Pradesh and help the poor and the disadvantaged sections,” the Nandamuri hero said.
