Mahesh babu’s Padmalaya movies on High demand

Image Description hereRenowned film production house Padmalaya Studios is back in the limelight, with B-town producers vying for the remake rights of their yesteryear Hindi blockbusters such as Himmatwala, Mawali and Singhasan.

It was TV soap queen Ekta Kapoor who first staked her claim to remake her father Jeetendra’s super hit film Himmatwala. She had reportedly even offered to pay a whopping Rs 50 lakhs for the rights. However, Ajay insisted on remaking the hit film Ooriki Monagadu,” says a source from Padmalaya, owned by veteran actor Krishna, father of Mahesh Babu.
After Himmatwala, B-town producers are willing to offer around Rs 1 to 2 crore for the remake rights of other hits such as Mawali, Pathal Bhairavi and folklore drama Singhasan. Even the stars are clamouring to do a Jeetendra in order to reach out to the masses across the country. Meanwhile, Seshagiri Rao, Krishna’s brother and managing director of Padmalaya, says, “We have just sold the rights of Himmatwala but I can’t disclose the amount. But nothing has been decided about our other Hindi super hits.”
