The Dirty Picture starring Vidya Balanwas a good hit in Hindi. Ekta Kapoor is planning to remake it in Telugu and Tamil. She has been looking to find the apt replacement for Vidya in South version.Nayanthara is on the priority list of Ekta.  
 
There were reports about Nayantharaagreeing to be part of this film. There were also rumors that she is being paid a bomb for doing Dirty Picture remake. But Nayan denied the news and said that no one has approached her with the offer.

Nayanthara also made it clear that she is not willing to do the remake for various reasons.Nayanthara said that she liked the original but believes that it won’t click with south audience. Nayan cleared the air by saying that even if someone approaches her with a hefty deal, she would reject the offer.
