Strange are the way of the industry and T-town stars prefer to rely on directors who mean business and deliver hits. A while back, a big film MLA starring NTR Jr was okayed.
MLA stands for Manchi Lakshanalunna Abbayi and needless to say that NTR Jr will be playing the title role. The film was in the talk of the Tollywood town some time now but could not make it to the production stage due to obvious reasons.Now it has become a reality and Harish Shankar will be directing the movie. The director and the busy hero are in concord with the film and their understanding is so well that it may now take shape. NTR reportedly kept the project at bay as the former didn’t have a blockbuster to his credit at the time. Now that Gabbar Singh has turned out to be a winner, the actor is planning to revive the breezy entertainer. “It will go on floors soon,” says a source close the actor. NTR took on Badshah with leading director Srinu Vytla only after the latter scored the massive hit Dhookudu, so no prizes for guessing what brought Harris back into the loop.
Kodali Nani and Vallabhaneni Vamsi are going to produce this film. Harish Shankar is currently busy with Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh. This film will be ready for release by next summer and he will start working on MLA after that.
